Clone reports without editor access
In the earlier version of Insightloupe, reports could be cloned by only those users who had created a report or had editor access to that report. There was a lot of dependency on the editor/creator of the report to create a copy of the report when required.
In this release, we have allowed users with analyst access or above to clone reports without being the creator/editor of the original report thereby reducing the dependency.
Configure visibility of project modules
In the earlier version of Insightloupe, users could only configure the visibility of the Background, Explorer, and Company modules in the project. However, they could not remove other modules that would not be used from visibility in the project even if those modules are not being used for the project.
In this release, we have enabled users to be able to configure the visibility of all modules (except Manage) in the project while creating a new project on Insightloupe as well as for existing projects.
These moduless will only be hidden from the navigation menu and users can still access them from different sections. For example, if the Documents module is hidden, it will be removed from the navigation menu but users can access it from the project list on the Home page.
This will allow users to hide unused modules from the project (reduce clutter) so that clients can view relevant sections only.
Display only used Extra and Chartable Extra fields
In the earlier version of Insightloupe, we used to display all the extra and chartable extra field in the right pane of documents page irrespective of whether they were being used in the project or not.
In this release, we have updated the experience to display only used fields on a project in the extra and chartable extra fields. If a field is used on a project but not on the document, it should still be visible on the document with “Information not available” label.
A field is considered used if one of the documents has a value or it has been renamed from the update field names section.
With this update, we have also improved how users can update these fields such that instead of editing one field at a time, users can update and save multiple fields in one go. This can be done by clicking on the edit option at the top of the tab.
Single Page App experience - Login flow and Saved Search option
A dynamic platform like Insightloupe has multiple pages and often transitions from one page to another is fraught with delays due to server-side rendering of those pages. The modern way of building applications is to create a single page app experience such that while the initial load might be a bit longer than before (though not much longer!) the page transitions are smoother and provides for a better user experience. This experience is called a single page app or SPA experience.
In a previous release (circa 2022.01), the newer SPA experience was introduced for the What’s New, Notifications, and Reports modules. In this release, we are introducing this experience for the saved searches option on Documents module and Login flow.
Furthermore, Search History has been renamed to Saved Searches across the Insightloupe platform.
