Access Technology Profiles from different modules

TagsDocumentsCompanies

In the earlier version of Insightloupe, technology profiles could only be accessed from the Tags module of the project. Users were not able to access the profile from other sections where tags are mentioned.

In this release, we have enabled the user to access technology profiles from different sections of Insightloupe so that they have easy access to the profile section where tags are provided and there is no disruption in the journey while consuming information. Users can now access technology profiles from:

  • Matrix and Expert views in the Documents module
  • Companies module
  • Explorer module

Configure Feature Settings of Projects

Projects

In the earlier version of Insightloupe, users could enable/disable certain features from the User profile section and these feature settings were applied to the whole instance which means all projects on that instance would have the same configurations for that feature. However, all projects do not have the same requirements and hence, this configuration was required at a project level.

In this release, we have removed these configurations from the user profile and have added them to the Feature Settings of a project. These settings are accessible while creating a new project or by visiting the Feature Settings section under Project Settings in the Manage module. User can configure the following features:

  • Matrix View
  • Legal Events
  • Alerts
  • Unpublished Applications

Create and Trigger Alerts for Products

alerts

Previously, users did not have the option to create alerts for Products on Insightloupe due to limitations on tracking changes in Products. Hence, clients could not receive any alert notifications for addition/update to Products. Due to the flexibility of the platform, Products is often used to denote other entities such as Ingredients, Chemicals, etc. which increased the usage of the Product document type and therefore, not being able to set alerts for them led to a gap in the overall project delivery.

In this release, we have removed the limitations on tracking changes in Products, which means alerts can now be triggered for Products as well and will work in a similar manner as the other document types. You can select Products as the document type while building the query from the Advanced Search page or select it as part of the query in the alert creation flow. Products can also be included in tasks created within alerts.

Documents

In the earlier version of Insightloupe, users could upload a Document URL which was the only external link available for a document. However, there have been some requirements to add additional links but there was no option to add them. For e.g. adding links to publications of Key opinion leaders (KOLs), citations of articles, different products of suppliers, etc.

In this release, we have added a new field with the default name Additional Links across all the document types. With the addition of this field, users can now add relevant references to a document on the platform and link them to their source. You will be able to add the Additional Links field to the Preview tab, export the field, create search queries using Additional Links, and track changes to the field.

Enhancements to Product Upload

documents

In the earlier version of Insightloupe, users were unable to track any changes for the product document type as products did not have any unique identifier. Users were also unable to update the existing products as user-uploaded Product Unique IDs would get overwritten by system-generated IDs.

In this release, products have been enhanced to retain the old data so that details can be updated for existing products and new products can be added without overwriting previously uploaded products as user-uploaded Product Unique IDs will not get overwritten.

Indicate Analyzed Family Members of Patent Publications

Documents

Newly published family members are typically updated on Insightloupe for projects that have updates included in them. There might be situations where one of the older published family members have already been analyzed but Insightloupe does not provide any information on whether the family member is analyzed or not.

With this release, we have added an indication to family members listed under the bibliographic fields tab to represent:

  • whether there are any comments added to a patent document
  • whether there are details added in any of the tags, annotations, or extra/ chartable extra fields
  • whether the document has been flagged as risky

The above listed indications will be available for patent publications and family documents. They’ll be displayed in both enrichment tasks and the Documents module.

Tracking Changes in Products

Documents

Insightloupe allows its users to track changes across different document types, making it easy for them to check for updates within a document, even at a field-level. This feature is most useful for legal patent watch studies as well as periodic newsletters. Previously, changes could be tracked for Patent documents, News, Scientific Articles and Clinical Trials.

In this release, we have started tracking changes in Products as well. Similar to any other document type, the history of changes made to Products is listed under the Changes History tab in the Documents module.
